An appeal from USPG:

The new name for USPG is U.S. (United Society). The US is raising £48,000.00 to help 50 of the poorest families in the Philippines rebuild their lives. Following the destruction of Typhoon Haiyan in November 2013 which claimed 6,000 lives and destroyed 550,000 homes, the needs remain immense. One new home costs £875.00 and £145.00 could buy a new fishing boat securing a livelihood for two families. For more information please contact the Dean.

SERVERS PRACTICE:

The servers practice will be held on Tuesdays at St. Andrew’s at 4:30pm. All servers should attend.

Work Morning At Cathedral:

Members of the Parish are invited to join in a clean-up of the Cathedral yard on Saturday 28th February 2015. Morning Prayer at 6:00 a.m. will precede the cleaning. Persons who are attending should register at the Deanery so that breakfast could be provided for all.

Thoughts for the week:

  1. Emotionally injured people are typically extremely judgemental towards others.
  2. If you do not master your bitterness and anger, it will master you!
  3. At all costs we must forgive or we are the losers.

Education Corner:

We have come to our final suggestion on how we can establish healthy relationships at our places of employment. The seventh is “Don’t be a tattletale”. Nobody likes a tattletale. You won’t be very well respected among your co-workers if every time someone does something  you don’t like or think is mean, you run and tell the boss. For example, if someone isn’t doing her job as well as she could or should and is making more work for you, instead of tattling to the boss to get her in trouble, try going to the co-worker directly to resolve the issue. If on the other hand, the co-worker is doing something unethical like stealing or  making personal long distance phone calls on the company time, then by all means, say something to the boss.——————————————————————————–
