Easter Greetings,
It is my hope that your Lenten journey has brought you to the Cross, where you laid down your burdens – the blockages to your spiritual growth in Christ. May you like Mary Magdalene, the Apostle Peter and the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, have such a personal encounter with the Risen Lord that you could say with joy “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that he dwells within my heart”. My wife Lyn, children Andrew, Andrea and grandchild Sanaa join me in wishing you a blessed and awe-inspiring Easter.
The Very Rev. Rudolph Smithen
Alleluia, the Lord is risen indeed. Today I join with many other believers who can rejoice and sing the chorus “up from the grave he arose.” When we become discouraged and defeated by the evil that surrounds us, and sin that has stolen so much from us, and when we are tempted to think that wickedness has won, we can remember that it is because he lives, we can face another day. I pray God, that as we face days ahead we will give thanks for his death on the cross for our sins. Blessed Easter to all of you, from my husband, my daughter, and from me.
Rev. Pauline Ramsey-Burns
People of God: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour. “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24). What a change, from the innermost darkness to the blazing light, from sorrow to joy, from storm and strife at last to peace. My brothers and sisters let us rejoice at Christ’s victory. He conquered the world, the flesh and the devil on our behalf. Let us thank him for this Easter gift, and resolve to strive to propagate the risen life. My beloved wife Francine, our daughters Shanice, Raeven and Angel join me in wishing you and your families a blessed and Christ-filled Easter.
The grace of our lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you always.
Fr. Raliville Christian
Our Lenten journey, I’m sure, has caused us to reflect and to do some soul searching in our lives as Christians. We would have looked at how we have been at peace with the faith community and if we had erred we would have prayed for the strength to maintain the unity of peace. Christ in his passion has called us to be one with him experiencing the benefits that can be had through his death and resurrection. We are to be a people who are eternally grateful that God so loved us that he sent his son to become the sacrifice for our sins that we might be saved.
I pray that on this Easter Day that we feel the presence of God rising within us creating new possibilities and realizations. I pray that we feel the sense of victory that Christ gained for us. I pray that we will sing with new enthusiasm, “I serve a risen Saviour.”
My wife and I wish all of you a blessed Easter and urge you to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Rev. Christopher and Stansel Roberts.
