ASSIST in the restoration: Sincere gratitude to all who have contributed to the Fundraising effort for the Restoration of the Cathedral. Funds are low  and we are making every effort to raise funds. We applaud organizations and churches that have taken on the challenge to raise the $10,000.00 that was suggested. We are asking those who are employed and are not involved in Fund Raising to consider a donation of E.C.$25.00, $50.00, $100.00 or more monthly for the next ten months. This will go a long way in assisting us to pay the bills. We again invite members to visit the building and see the extent of the work done.

Cathedral gift shop: Kindly remember to visit the Cathedral Gift Shop and purchase your Bibles, Hymn books, other literature, pictures and gifts. Remember that by  patronizing the gift shop you are supporting the Restoration. Our gratitude to Mr. Max Martin and other volunteers – Vincent Benjamin, Morrell Richardson, Yolanda Martin, Yolanda Peters, Joslyn crump, Alvin Goodwin, Radford Jarvis, Gloria Lake, Evelyn Smithen, Primrose Lewis, Eloise Hamilton and Steve Stevens. The total sales and donations for 2014 amounted to over fifty-six thousand dollars E.C.

Education Corner: Today is celebrated as Mothering or Mid-Lent Sunday. Originally it was a time when people returned to their Mother Church, the church in which they were baptized or where they attended services when they were children. Such an exercise brought families together. Later on the women who worked as domestic servants were given that Sunday when they could return home and visit their mothers. They would take them a gift to show their appreciation. Mothering Sunday is also referred to as Refreshment Sunday . It is the Sunday when the church relaxes the rules about fasting a little so that fellow Christians could eat some of the food (sweets) they had given up for Lent.  In England this day is celebrated as Mothers’ Day.——————————————————————————–
